This font was inspired by a vibrant piece of street art I discovered during my "Street Knowledge" research, which took me across three cities in Germany and two in Belgium. The goal of my journey was to uncover the shared language of the streets through graffiti and urban expressions.
In Ghent, Belgium, I found a piece of paper on some speakers explaining that they were free to take. However, the note was written in a highly unusual style—mirrored and with an odd way of forming the letters. I recreated the letters from the sign, preserving the same gritty aesthetic. For the missing characters, I designed them to blend seamlessly with the original vibe, capturing the spirit of the city and its streets.
